"You are like shades of night and day", he said.

Following this years annual couples retreat, in our shares and debriefs, my co-facilitator said something to me that left me thinking.

"Seeing you moving and shifting energies was like shades of night and day. From soft and submissive to directing and leading, then soft and open again. I admire it, and it was actually really cool to watch and feel. Very potent to witness both, from one moment to the next, all within the same person."

As I sat with his words I could see and feel the truth of how important this is for us as women to grasp.

Because what he was describing is what becomes available to a woman who has done the work of meeting ALL of herself and stopped apologising for any of it. A woman who knows her range, her gifts and is in approval of her many flavours of body-led expression.

Most women have been taught that emotional stability is a virtue. Being the predictable no drama, easy going girl who doesn't create waves. For a much of my life I thought THIS was what made me attractive to men...

And it does, for a while.

The lure of no drama will attract a man who has not yet become fully initiated in the depths of the feminine.

The trap though, is it slowly kills the spark. In her, in him and in their attraction.

The woman who gives everything to her family may forget to give to herself.

She may lose touch with the parts of her that are wild, free and powerfully unhinged.

The woman who is organised and always on top of things may lose access to her softness, her spontaneity and her ability to play.

The woman who is the good wife may have silenced her deeper erotic nature or the parts of her that can create magic and ritual through her embodied frequency.

And on some level, everyone around her feels it .. including her partner.

Feminine range is not about being volatile or chaotic, it is about aliveness.

True embodied aliveness is full spectrum experience for a woman and the people in her life.

Shakti is one of the most magnetic and potent forces in the world.

And the woman who remembers to express and allow her full range of Shakti - like night and day, moment to moment - is what Faces of Shakti is about.

"Very potent to witness from one moment to the next, all within the same person."

Shakti is your nature as a woman.

Isn't it time you remembered her and awakened from your daily slumber of the rat race?
